Let’s be honest: Covid changed things a little. Ha. Ha. Ha.

We don’t have to tell you it was brutal. But, as they say, every massively disruptive global pandemic has a silver lining.

When the world slowly began opening up, the concept of workspace was turned on its head. For us, one particular unexpected thing happened: we started working out of breweries during the day. They were looking for alternative uses of their space and we were looking for alternative spaces to use. Win-win. The fact that we found ourselves enjoying working in close proximity to beer is funny but, more importantly, it proved that the power of community can’t be underestimated. The sense of togetherness was incredible.

The lines of work and play blurred and, interestingly, so much great work got done. We had a lightbulb moment. We wanted to take the stimulating energy of that time and help create a community that was built upon the ideas of the people who are part of it. This was the birth of Site B.

So join us in building a community of good people making good things happen.

How Site B came to be.

We feel fortunate to be allowed carry out our business on the ancestral and unceded homelands of the kwikwəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), qʼwa:n̓ ƛʼən̓ (Kwantlen), qiqéyt (Qayqayt), and Stó:lō (Sto:lo) Peoples, and extend appreciation for the opportunity to create a coworking environment and event space with the vision of bringing together the local community on this territory.

We’re putting our money where our name is and pledging 1% of our profit, product, time and equity to support non-profits in our community. We believe success isn’t a ladder you climb — it’s a bridge you build that inspires others to find their courage and help design their own success.

To Build Community, We Must Help the Community
